Peter has been playing music with people of all ages for nearly three decades. His work in early childhood music education, and music therapy for children with special needs, as well as senior music education and music therapy has been paramount in the formation of PUKAmusic. Peter has years of experience playing recording and touring with successful rock, fusion and hip hop groups. He plays and teaches guitar, bass, drum kit, hand drums, mandolin, keyboards, piano and ukulele as well as band dynamics, interaction and improvisation skills. Peter is a master and instructor of dj turntablism, emcee skills, sampling, music production, studio recording, mixing and mastering. Peter, a graduate of Cheverus and Marquette University, began designing and implementing music programs as a career in 1996 and continues to train instructors with the same goals and high standards that have been the hallmark of all Peter Alsen and PUKAmusic programs.
Kathleen Reynolds Brainerd
Kathleen, a grandmother of two, has a Master's in English and is an educator, curriculum designer, trainer and career counselor. After many years as a public sector human services director, she consults for the US Navy, as well as with various small educational organizations. She evaluates resumes, interviews potential employees and edits PUKAmusic marketing materials
Maria, a mother of two, currently works managing a recording studio and as an arts education consultant. She's an experienced actress, comic, indie film producer and children's acting teacher. She earned her BA in English Literature and Drama from Saint Michael's College and is a graduate of Manhattan's Circle in the Square Professional Acting program. She is the lead editor for all PUKAmusic promotional media and the lead developer of PUKAdrama programs.
